The Waldmann

A village of fifty-five set out to slay a mythical ten-foot doe with pure white antlers; all returned empty-handed because a stranger, The Waldmann, had already carried off the prize. He now wears the antlers on his back wherever he goes, for the red stains on them are not deer's blood. His true name remains unknown.
