Montresor (Edward Montresor)

Abandoned and left to die by his old hunting partner Rolf, Edward Montresor embraced the spirit of the old carnivals of Venice to enact a literary-inspired revenge. Drawing on Poe's 'The Cask of Amontillado,' he lured Rolf into the catacombs of Healing-Waters Church under false pretenses. There he entombed Rolf behind a brick wall, leaving him to perish in darkness as calculated vengeance for the betrayal.
