Inoculation
The Inoculation is a serum developed by the American Hunters Association to grant some protection against the Corruption, distilled from the corpse of a Corrupted creature. It is described as nearly as deadly as the ailment it is meant to prevent, making it a dangerous gamble for those who take it. It is tied to AHA members and to the deeper, darker experiments within the organization.
The inoculation reflects the AHA's pragmatic but ruthless approach to fighting the Corruption: using the very thing that creates monsters to try to resist it. Lore notes that before taking the inoculation, Laura Gottschalk was a leader; afterward, having beheld the Sculptor's most twisted creations, she sought answers in Isaac Powell and his Night of the Hunter cult. This ties the inoculation thematically to the loss of self and the seductive pull of the Corruption.
